# Getting RSC

How to earn or buy ResearchCoin (RSC). There are two ways to get RSC: earn it by contributing to science on ResearchHub, or buy it directly.

### Earn RSC

#### Peer review proposals

ResearchHub Foundation sponsors $150 in RSC for every accepted peer review of a research proposal. Any qualified expert can pick an open proposal from the Peer Review tab and submit a review without an invite. Editors accept the top two reviews per proposal, and payment arrives about 10 days after acceptance. See [Peer Reviews](/researchhub/product-features/peer-reviews.md) for the full process.

#### Post project updates

Funded researchers earn $50 in RSC for each monthly progress update they post on their proposal page. Updates can be written or video, and they keep funders and the wider community informed as the work unfolds. Posting updates is optional but encouraged: they build trust with current funders and make your work more visible to future ones.

#### Receive tips

When other users find your work valuable, they can tip you in RSC directly. Tips can go to reviews or comments, so good scientific work gets rewarded by the people it helps.

### Buy RSC

You can also buy RSC on supported exchanges and deposit it to your ResearchHub wallet. You can then use it to fund proposals at lower fees, tip contributors, take part in governance, or contribute to the ResearchHub Endowment. See [RSC Utility](/researchcoin/using-rsc.md) for details.

RSC is available on Coinbase, Revolut, Kraken, Gate, MEXC, and Aerodrome. Always confirm the official token contract address on the Contracts and Addresses page before buying or transferring.
