The ResearchHub Journal

ResearchHub introduces an open access journal with paid peer review—ensuring transparency, reproducibility, and rapid decision in just 21 days.

What is The ResearchHub Journal?

The core mission of The ResearchHub Journal (ISSN: 3070-3395) is to accelerate the pace of science. We reward and incentivize authors for reproducible research while paying peer reviewers for their expertise. Among other submissions types, the ResearchHub Journal offers a venue for authors funded through ResearchHub to publish their pre-registered proposals as registered reports.

Authors can publish a range of scientific literature in the ResearchHub Journal beyond registered reports including:

  • Registered Reports

  • Case Studies

  • Original Research

  • Short Communications

  • Literature Reviews (Invitation Only)

Five Benefits of Publishing with ResearchHub

1. Rapid Turnaround Time

You deserve a fast turnaround for your submission. And reviewers deserve to be paid for their expertise. We are focused on solutions for both. From submission to publication, the review process is fast, easy, and constructive. Authors receive a final decision within 21 days from submission.

  1. Submission: Immediate publication as a preprint—free and open to all

  2. ~14 Days: Expert peer review is completed

  3. ~21 Days: Initial editorial decision received

2. Cost-Effective APC ($300)

Authors pay $300 USD in article processing charges (APCs). Peer reviewers are compensated directly with ResearchCoin (RSC), a digital currency that can be easily converted to USDarrow-up-right.

3. Paid Peer Review

At ResearchHub, we believe that APCs should go to the scientist. ResearchHub will compensate each peer reviewer with $150 worth of RSC for their expert contributions.

Robert Darnton, director of Harvard Library told the Guardian (The Guardian, 2012arrow-up-right): “We all face the same paradox. We, faculty, do the research, write the papers, referee papers by other researchers, serve on editorial boards, all of it for free … and then we buy back the results of our labor at outrageous prices.

4. Transparency & Reproducibility

The latest trends in open access publishing are built on the Publish-Review-Curate (PRC) model. The ResearchHub Journal is fully aligned with this model–regardless of peer review feedback, works submitted to the journal are automatically posted as preprints upon submission.

  1. These preprints are assigned DOIs, making them citable, and they are eligible for RSC rewards.

  2. Following expert peer reviews, authors who implement the required changes will have their work formally accepted into the journal.

  3. All articles are published under open licenses, ensuring unrestricted sharing and reproducibility.

5. Boosted Visibility

ResearchHub is committed to maximizing the visibility of your research. Our strong social media presence allows us to promote your work and ensure it reaches a broad audience of scientists, researchers, and the global community. Increased visibility leads to greater engagement, more citations, and a broader impact.
