# ResearchHub Docs

ResearchHub is a funding platform for science that lets funders distribute cash, ResearchCoin, or in-kind resources like compute credits to researchers in granular, per-project amounts.

Funders post Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and distribute cash, ResearchCoin (RSC), or in-kind resources, such as GPU compute and cloud credits, to researchers in granular, per-project amounts. Researchers apply with a short preregistered proposal, receive paid open peer review in about 10 days, are incentivized to provide transparent updates, and can publish funded work as a Registered Report in the ResearchHub Journal.

**For funders.** Describe what you want to fund and our AI Assistant drafts the RFP, or book a call with a PhD on our team. Our AI Expert Finder identifies qualified researchers and invites them to apply. Fund with RSC, credit card, Apple Pay, or a tax-deductible donor-advised fund through our 501(c)(3) partner Endaoment. ResearchHub charges a 7% fee for RSC/Funding Credits or 9% fee for cash, and university indirect costs are capped at 0–10%.

**For researchers.** Browse open RFPs or submit a standalone proposal. Cash funding go to your institution as a gift, so there is no grants-office overhead. Funded researchers who post a text or video progress update receive $50 per update.

**For peer reviewers.** The ResearchHub Foundation opens paid peer review bounties on funding proposals. Approved reviews earn $150 each.

**Endowment.** RSC held in a ResearchHub account earns daily Funding Credits that can only be spent funding science. Principal is withdrawable at any time.

**ResearchHub Journal.** A free, open-access (CC BY 4.0) journal that publishes only Registered Reports from proposals funded on ResearchHub.
