ResearchCoin tokenomics has been designed based on token engineering principles centered around the concept of the Web3 Sustainability Loop. This implies that the primary focus has always been on growing the ecosystem while ensuring its long-term self-sustainability.
In this context, RSC tokens are distributed gradually to contributors who add value to the project. This approach not only aligns incentives for those committed to the long-term vision of ResearchHub but also provides the team with a longer runway to iterate and discover the most effective mechanisms for catalyzing growth and converting it into value for science.
Examples of such iterations include the Editor program, the Incentivized Peer Review program, and Microgrants. In each of these cases, RSC tokens are disbursed to contributors capable of creating value for the broader scientific community. This value is then captured by the platform through increased user adoption, subsequently generating more value for the platform through heightened awareness and the utilization of services and products offered by ResearchHub.
This set of utilities not only enhances the overall value proposition of RSC but also fosters a dynamic and engaged community. By doing so, the ResearchHub Foundation ensures that RSC becomes a key driver for active participation and collaboration within the scientific community and aims to establish a set of positive incentives capable of creating value for all network participants, thus helping accelerate the pace of scientific research.
