# Reputation (REP)

Every user on ResearchHub has a research field-specific reputation (REP) score that unlocks access to moderation features. REP is earned over time by sharing, summarizing, curating, and discussing the scientific papers shared within ResearchHub. Additionally REP is retrospectively calculated for any researchers who has claimed their research publications by verifying their identity on ResearchHub.

REP empowers the users who demonstrate their dedication to openly sharing scientific research on ResearchHub with the tools to nurture and develop our growing community.
